Kofi Akinjide, Ed.D.
Mental Health Trainee
A cosmopolitan is more than just a cocktail and a magazine, it describes a person who has experienced the rich diversity that life has to offer. For seven years I was the lead pastor of a predominantly African American congregation in Pasadena, California. After the culmination of this journey, I transitioned into higher education leadership for seven years where I had an opportunity to foster student equity and success among students from racially minoritized communities. These two opportunities made something very clear to me: I love using a wealth of knowledge to help individuals, couples, and families reshape their lives for the better.

Nancy Jones, MSW, ACSW
Associate Clinical Social Worker
Greetings, I am Nancy Jones and I believe words have the power to heal the mind, body, and soul. Not only the words that we hear but also the words we speak. I know the importance and impact of using words in ways that encourage, empower, and shift “negative thoughts” into “positive thoughts”. I have over 15 years of experience and success working with youth and families impacted by trauma, anxiety, and depression. Cognitive therapy, dialectical therapy, solution focused therapy, and narrative therapy are the modalities I often use in my work with clients. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work. I look forward to going on the journey of healing with you. “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” – Proverbs 16:24.

Therapy doesn't have to be taboo. We all fall down and need help to get back up. You deserve support. Your distressed thoughts and behaviors do not have to be your reality or future. The behavior is only the symptom of what is going on. My role is to be the ambassador of your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. My goal is to encourage, promote, and integrate all aspects of the therapy process. As a client centered therapist, I ensure empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard. I am dedicated to social justice, youth development, and providing culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health services
